Pedagogy of Out-of-School Youth Sports 

Charalampos Krommidas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, University of Thessaly, Greece. He holds a BSc in Physical Education and Sports Science (2005) from the University of Thessaly, a Master Degree in Exercise & Quality of Life (2008) from the Democritus University of Thrace and the University of Thessaly, a Master Degree in Adolescent Medicine & Adolescents’ Health Care (2022) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a PhD in Physical Education and Sports Science (2015) from the University of Thessaly. He has worked for many years (2010-2021) as a part time lecturer or research staff in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science at the University of Thessaly, teaching courses related to team sports (basketball, handball), sport pedagogy, Practicum in Physical Education, and research methods and statistics. He has extensive experience in nationally and European Union (EU) funded projects (e.g., IMPACT Project - Erasmus+ Sport; PAPA Project - FP7). He has published with other colleagues’ one (1) book, five (5) book chapters, fifty-two (52) research articles in established international and national scientific journals and more than seventy-five (75) oral and poster presentations in national and international congresses. His main areas of research interest are motivation, measurement of physical activity and health promotion in youths.
